Orléans, la Loire et ses îles lors du siège de 1429 d’après les titres et documents contemporains par M. Boucher de Molandon

Map. Orléans. 1429. Joan of Arc. Boucher de Molandon. Eugène Moreau.

This map shows where Joan of Arc crossed the Loire and how she reached Orléans, entering from the Eastern gate.

Document digitized on Gallica.fr

She’d wanted to cross the Loire on the Western side of Orléans to face John Talbot immediately. It would most certainly have lead to a disaster.
